Three exceptional leaders in biotechnology, medical technology, and healthcare innovation have joined the keynote program for the AusBiotech International Conference and AusMedtech 2026.

Over almost a decade, Dr Wang has demonstrated that world-class science and world-class business strategy are not competing priorities. They are essential partners.
Dr Wang led Tinlarebant (LBS-008) from early-phase clinical trials to regulatory submission in remarkably fast time, securing both Orphan Drug and Fast Track designations from the US Food and Drug Administration along the way.
In her keynote, Dr Wang will examine what it takes to turn scientific ambition into international impact and the role Australia can play as a trusted partner in global innovation, translation, and commercial growth.

Global Chief Medical Officer for Diagnosis and Treatment at Philips and a practising physician with more than 20 years of clinical experience, Dr Atul Gupta helps shape patient-centred innovation across radiology, cardiology, neurology, oncology, and other areas of care. His work spans technologies including artificial intelligence, robotics, and augmented reality.
In his keynote, Scaling care to billions: AI, access and the race against time, Dr Gupta will explore how innovation is being translated into real-world impact globally and across the Asia-Pacific region.
Focusing on stroke, one of healthcare’s most time-critical conditions, Dr Gupta will examine how speed, technology, and coordinated care can improve access and transform patient outcomes at scale.
Dr Gupta’s keynote will be followed by a live, 20-minute on-stage discussion with Director of Neurointervention at Gold Coast University Hospital, Professor Hal Rice.
Founder and CEO of Providence Therapeutics, Brad Sorenson is a recognised leader in messenger RNA innovation who has co-founded multiple mRNA companies, including Arcturus Therapeutics and Providence Therapeutics.
Brad’s journey into biotechnology is deeply personal. After his son Adam was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer, Brad became determined to advance new therapeutic approaches that could make a meaningful difference for patients and families.
Today, Providence Therapeutics is developing personalised cancer vaccines using mRNA technology. Its strategic partnership with Gold Coast-based Southern RNA to manufacture next-generation mRNA therapies brings the conference theme to life: global expertise working with Australian capability to accelerate innovation and impact.
Brad also continues to advocate for patient empowerment, supporting patients and parents of children diagnosed with brain cancer.
